“Releasing past load of life” is a modern painting that speaks about the inner journey of human beings as they confront painful experiences, sorrow, regret, and the wounds of the past. The work does not simply invite viewers to see the past as something dark, but instead asks how we choose to treat it: whether we continue to carry it as a burden, or transform it into an experience from which we can grow and move forward. Through an abstract visual language, the artist creates an open space for interpretation, allowing each viewer to establish a personal connection with their own past experiences.

Visually, the lower section of the painting, dominated by deep and intense blacks, represents a heavy, painful, and dark past. These dark forms appear to exert pressure and hold back the movement of life, becoming metaphors for sorrow, regret, failure, and experiences that continue to be carried into the present. Yet, emerging from within the darkness are strokes of white, resembling rays of light attempting to penetrate the shadows. White symbolizes the potential that remains within every human being—a strength that may become obscured by painful experiences, but is never truly lost. As this potential begins to awaken, the visual journey moves upward toward lighter, warmer, and brighter tones, expressing hope and the possibility of a more beautiful future.

The work conveys the idea that the past should be a teacher, not a prison. Painful experiences cannot simply be erased from the journey of life, but we have the ability to determine the meaning we give to them. Mistakes can become lessons, failure can become a process of character formation, and wounds can become sources of wisdom. Conversely, when a person continues to live in regret, they risk sacrificing the time, energy, and happiness that are still available in the present. The past has already taken its place in time; it does not need to occupy that same place in our lives today.

This meaning is reinforced through the metaphor of a woodcutter. He carries a heavy load of firewood when he receives the news that his first child has been born. Eager to return home and embrace this great happiness, he wants to run, but his steps become slow and difficult because the burden he carries is too heavy. Eventually, he realizes that the very burden he carries is preventing him from running toward his happiness. This parable becomes a powerful metaphor for human beings who wish to reach the future while still carrying too much of the past. How can we run toward happiness when both hands are still full of burdens that should have already been released?

Ultimately, “Releasing past load of life” is an invitation to have the courage to close a chapter that has already ended and make room for a new life. The progression from black to white and increasingly brighter colors represents a transformation—from attachment to freedom, from sorrow to hope, and from despair to renewal. The past does not need to be forgotten; it simply needs to be placed where it belongs—as part of the history that has shaped who we are. Let go of the sorrow, regret, and painful stories that belong to the past; take their lessons, leave their burdens behind, then rise and move forward with courage toward a future that still holds so much happiness, beauty, and possibility for success.
